2022 – FGC8 (April 27 – May 1) Branson, MO

While not the case with each year’s location, Big Cedar lived up to the substantial hype. Not only did the resort include incredible courses, but it was also a successful fishing experience for Mr. Andy. Unfortunately, fishing was the highlight for Romes due to his inability to gauge distance, break, or anything else involving his flat stick.

The golf competition started out strong with both teams evenly matched in skill and beverage consumption. As the week progressed, things turned positive for Team Blue as Team Red began to show cracks. As the saying goes, “drive for show, putt for dough”, FGC8 confirmed that accuracy and ultimately clutch putting made the difference. While competition for MVP was stiff through Saturday morning, Gehrke reconfirmed that winners win and the jacket looks great on his shoulders.

Team Blue built on their lead throughout the weekend as Team Red’s flat sticks went cold, regaining the cup with a decisive 175 – 155 victory.
